First about my “Captain” film. Budget completed. Big jump in funding this week. More as it develops.
Continuing as promised, this summer is going to be about Alumni news which it pleases me no end when I hear of.

#Iris Saunders – I recently wrote a short film, #Out of Time, about modern day slavery in the US which is now in post-production due for release August 15th. Currently writing a feature entitled, “Perception.” And I’m scheduled to begin shooting “Disenfranchised,” (the short film I wrote in Irv’s class) in early September.
#Steve Shapiro - continues his rise on the inside track, now Head of Production at #Das Films.

Screenwriter/Educator: IRV BAUER, has taught Screenwriting at the New York University’s Film School, at Sarah Lawrence College, and The Australian National Film School as well as in Master Classes at Cornell and at many other prominent venues. At the University of Bridgeport and The Minneapolis Playwright’s Lab he taught Playwriting as well as at the New Dramatist's in New York. At the University of Washington he taught Adaptation at the graduate level.
