Summer Script Writing / Screenwriting Course NYC:

The New York summer screenwriting intensive is limited to 6 candidates and will teach you how to develop your characters and take them from location and time, to dialogue and plot, on to story, with special emphasis on the visual. The course is for both beginning and advanced writers and producers and those with a serious interest in film.
New York City is synonymous with writing and Irv Bauer’s beloved book lined Greenwich Village home and writing studio are the quintessential writer’s setting. In universities around the world and in his small-group workshops, Irv has helped hundreds of aspiring writers develop the craft of screenwriting.
No matter what your level, in the individual daily tutorials attention is paid to each writer’s particular needs. By the end of the workshop, you will have written a short screenplay in Full Film Form by following Irv’s proven step-by-step process.
Schedule:
- • Daily group session 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
- • Daily group lunch 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.
- • Daily afternoon one-on-one tutorials 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.
